Thanks to everybody who has offered advice on getting/feeling better! I've got several emails & a few comments, and I really appreciate the thoughts and ideas. I don't have a health store around me, so some of the remedies are too hard to come by without travelin' down to Nashville.
Right now I'm gargling warm salt water and trying to rest a lot. Hopefully that will work! I do feel a little better already. My nose and sneezing are still out of control, but the sinus pressure in my head seems to have gone down, so yay.
Enough with the sick talk. Even I'm bored with it! :)
I've still been working the past few days, and I wanted to post a few fruits of my labor. In case anybody's wondering, those Cleopatra fan sets & (especially those) 41-piece fan sets? Pretty much my least favorite thing to picture. Here's proof that I'm doing my best:

Oh, and this coral looks good enough to eat, to me.
Er, Not that I would eat coral...

EDIT: Can be found here now!
On a totally different note, I made really yummy soup last night. I combined the following: 2 chopped big tomatoes, veggie broth, zucchini, 2 small potatoes, 1 large onion, fresh parsley, italian seasonings, chickpeas, black beans, 2 stalks of celery, 1/2 can of tomato sauce I had leftover in the fridge, a bit of brown rice cooked in veggie broth, sea salt, fresh garlic, 2 scallions, & probably some other random "in the fridge" items in a large pot.
I added things as we chopped them and simmered the pot for about 50 minutes. I added the beans late in the game, as I didn't want them to fall apart after simmering for too long. (They're home-soaked and rehydrated, and sometimes that can happened with those guys.)
About 40 minutes in, I did what I believe to be The Key to good soup. I took out about 2-3 cups of the soup's veggies and pureed the mixture. I then re-added the puree back to the soup. I swear by this, as I really think it helps mingle the flavors. You can't tell there's puree in there at all, and it makes the soup a bit smoother and more cohesive. At least, I think!
It tasted pretty good when I taste tested it, but I'm...a creature of habit. I really like spicy food. So what did I do? At the last minute, I added in a smidgen of chili powder and two smidgens of cayenne. It then had a wee bite to it, and thus, I was happy. Plus, I need to clear out my sinuses, right? Right.
This is a huge post, so I'm going to cut myself off right now.
I've got to send out the weekend email!
Okay okay, so I know I said I was going to take it easy, but I'm actually going to start painting again today. I've still got that guest room to take care of... But! I promise pictures soon?
