Good morning, everyone! Cassie here :)
I get morning email updates from this lovely website called StoryPeople, which sells prints and cards and sculptures with original quotes. Some are funny, some are poignant, many are brilliant. This morning's made me laugh aloud, as I both work in a business that is involved in the holiday retail rush and am definitely also a consumer braving the crowds at the mall and can identify. It's called Born for Retail:
has always had the soul of an artist, but the instincts of an attack dog, so of course he went into retail
When my best friend Aidan turned me on to the site months ago, it was during the break up with The Boy, and he directed me to this quote. It's called Different Plans:
I don't know how long I can do this, he said. I think the universe has
different plans for me & we sat there in silence & I thought to
myself that this is the thing we all come to & this is the thing we
all fight & if we are lucky enough to lose, our lives become
beautiful with mystery again & I sat there silent because that is
not something that can be said.
Loving that one, I spent a good couple hours reading every single quote on there. So of course I have my favorites... I would post them all, but it would get a little ridiculous. That said, here are more than a few:
Imagining World
Blue Squares
Decisions
Epiphany
Awakening
Proper Steps
Single Mind
Just Friends
Side By Side
One of Us
Waiting for Signs
True Things
Quiet Prayer
And one more, called Real Reason:
There are things you do because they feel right & they may make no
sense & they may make no money & it may be the real reason we
are here: to love each other & to eat each other's cooking &
say it was good.
Now that I've gone on and on this morning about somebody else's store, I'll be sure to post a new Blog Sale today :) Much love from Tennessee! Deep breaths, the holiday is almost here!
